Volunteers:
- from picking up food, to sorting, processing & cooking!
- averaging 275 hours per month
We recover food weekly from these local donors:
- Save On Foods
- Real Canadian Superstore
- Bread & Butter Bakery
- Burrito Grill
- Will call basis: Stoke Market, Shopper's Drug Mart, local restaurants, restaurant suppliers, farms & backyard gardens
We distribute recovered food weekly to these agency partners:
- Kimberley Helping Hands Food Bank
- local Schools (Selkirk Secondary, McKim Elementary, Alternate, Independent, Ecole Francophone)
- Blarchmont Early Learning Centre
- Bellies to Babies Pregnancy Outreach
- Home Support Nursing
- Seniors Helping Seniors
- Aq'am School & Community Pantry
- Gardenview Assisted Living subsidized residents
- Community Paramedic
- As needed: local church groups, community events, after-care programs
