S.W.I.M - Seniors Wellness in Motion
S.W.I.M (Seniors Wellness in Motion) offers a specialized program designed for seniors who face mobility challenges. The sessions take place in the Leisure Pool at the Kimberley Aquatic Centre, providing a safe and relaxing environment for participants. The gentle exercises are thoughtfully crafted to enhance flexibility, strength, and balance, all while minimizing the risk of injury.
Each session not only focuses on physical well-being but also encourages social interaction among participants. Following the workout, participants can enjoy a selection of coffee and treats, fostering a sense of community and connection. The aim of S.W.I.M is to keep seniors engaged and active, supporting their overall health and enhancing their quality of life, both physically and mentally.
Seniors Activity Program
The Seniors Centre Activity Programming includes weekly active living programs at the Kimberley Seniors Centre. Program offerings include: Line Dancing, Tai Chi, as well as Movement & Mobility Classes designed to improve flexibility and strength.
