Taking Care of Business is offering microgrants for small infrastructure, healthy projects, and other creative ideas to help promote healthy workplaces. Preference will be given to projects with long-lasting, sustainable impact. Complete this application with your best ideas for a chance to receive up to $500 to support your project. Supported by staff, volunteers and governed by a Board of Directors, Healthy Kimberley seeks to make healthy choices easier and more accessible to all. Founded by health professionals in Kimberley, we believe that healthy living is important and prevention is better than treatment! Our projects include: Live 5-2-1-0, Children’s Playbox, Selkirk Secondary Multi-Sport Court, Micro-Grants for Kimberley Businesses, Senior Active Living programs, Food Recovery Depot, and most recently, the completion of Swan Avenue Park, and the SWIM program for Seniors. Job Posting Administrative Assistant Position Summary Reporting to the Secretary, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and communication support to the Board and program coordinators. The successful candidate will take on an exciting role that is central to all of Healthy Kimberley’s activities. Responsibilities Manage and maintain electronic files for HK BOD Read, review and respond to emails, phone calls, texts in a timely and professional manner Assist with preparation of Board meeting agendas, invitations and minute taking Monthly bank deposits Communicate relevant mail to Treasurer Facebook posts related to nutrition and physical activity events as required Draft and post HK Newsletter Liaise with HK Project Leads for monthly updates Assist/maintain HK website Track HK memberships Track weekly hours worked with description of tasks completed; submit monthly to Treasurer Related office tasks as required Key Competencies: Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Strong oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities and work independently Computer literacy skills including use of Excel, Word, Google Suite and Google Meet Social media skills Hours: 5 hours/week, flexible Assets: Previous administrative experience considered an asset Outgoing, active community member Familiarity with Healthy Kimberley’s work in the community To Apply Please submit your resume to: [email protected] JOB POSTING CLOSES JULY 19, 2024. |
